Château de Maulnes
Castles and Defense Sites
A masterpiece of the French Renaissance, the Château de Maulnes is one of a kind. A pentagon built around a well of water and light, it embodies the genius and passions of a fascinating era. The Château de Maulnes is accessible to all audiences: free or guided tours, investigative tours and many activities during the season. It was built in 1566 by Louise de Clermont and Antoine de Crussol, important figures of the court of France during the Wars of Religion.
